Now each press of the button will show a new service, once you find the brake fluid one press and hold again until RESET? appears.

Kilgore Trout. From 2009 forward, the SES light will NOT reset if you trigger it with a lose gas cap. According to my dealer, BMW's policy is that they will reset it for at N/C once during the four year ownership period. After that, they view it as negligence on your part and will charge you a scope fee.
Go underneath the car and check the wiring. I am 90% certain the wiring will have been cut by rodents. The next possible location is the oil temperature sensor, unfortunately this one is under the intake manifold and will require removal of the manifold in order to check the wiring. Common issue on many BMW models.
The reset procedure is to hold the reset button down for 3-5 seconds (and if you didn't already have the warning light, it will light up) then drive around for a minute or so and the light will go off and the reset is completed.
